Eva Cockcroft in addition to being a muralist is an art historian and a writer. She has painted over 25 murals in New York and New Jersey. She has painted murals in Nicaragua, Los Angeles, and Germany. She has written extensively on murals as a means of social change, and co-wrote Peoples Art: The Contemporary Mural Movement, and co-edited Signs from the Heart: California Chicano Murals. Her art exhibitions have been featured on the East and West coast. She studied at both Cornell University and Rutgers University. (Source: Robin K.
