Jose-Luis (Joe) Gonzalez was an influential aspect of the Chicano Mural movement and helped found the Goez Art Studio for Chicano arts. He worked with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to restore artworks after the 1971 earthquake.  In 1988 he was co-supervisor for the city of Hope project in Duarte, a two-year project. (Robin K.
