Paul Botello is the brother of East Los Streetscraper co-founder, David Botello. He began helping his brother at age 8, and went on to earn his BA and MFA at UC Los Angeles. In 1997, he was a visiting professor at Pitzer College in Claremont. In the late 90’s, he was contracted to create murals for the Boyle Heights Metro Station (which in 1997, was halted indefinitely.
