Originally from Detroit, Brabeau came to Los Angeles in 1973. Her art education consisted of self-study and two trips to Europe. She primarily works on canvas, doing impressionistic scenes featuring people dressed in the garb of the late-18th and early-19th centuries. Her paintings have been exhibited in southern California and San Francisco. (Robin K. Dunitz, Street Gallery, Guide to over 1000 Los Angeles Murals)
