June 13th 2012

On June 13th, the Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles hosted a mural tour in the Downtown L.A. Arts District for the Vista Robles National Charity League. The National Charity League is a philanthropic organization committed to community service and whose mission is to foster mother-daughter relationships through leadership development and cultural experiences. After the tour, they were able to visit the studio of Kent Twitchell and learn more about the mural making process.

Artist of the Month: Eliseo Art Silva

Eliseo Art Silva
In regards to a memorable response to his work: " A lot things have been said about this mural, but the most moving ones were when they say that, “the first time I saw your mural I found myself in tears.” They were moved to tears when they saw it. Some people say, “I would come here, in a year, probably five times just to inspire myself.” They find themselves spending an hour just looking at the mural just trying to nourish spiritually. So that’s the highest complement for me is for people to get moved to tears in front of my work. "
