Description / Interpretation:

"Journey to Knowledge / Un viaje al Conocimiento" is a mural inspired in David A. Siqueiros approach of integrating architecture and the work of art. Through a geometric integration of the space, I have place three main elements: the Eagle, Tonatiuh the sun god in Aztec mythology and the Shaman or curandero. The purpose is to inspire the students to soar into their studies and life by being proud of their cultural heritage, to discover new paths and find themselves as they search for knowledge in their minds and souls." - Jose Antonio Aguirre.
