Description / Interpretation:
Designed by Millard Sheets, executed by Denis O'Connor and Nancy Colbath. Three Native Americans on horseback at Indian Hills with yuccas in bloom. Another smaller mosaic of a single Indian on a horse is near the drive-up teller window (added in 1982: designed and executed by Denis O'Conner), at the end of the parking lot. Inside the bank is a painting by Sheets (1969, 16 1/2' x 44'), which depicts an early Indian village in the Claremont area, shortly after the arrival of the Spanish. Photo © Robin Dunitz.
