A montage based on historical photographs. "it was on La Cienega Blvd. just a few doors south of Melrose on the east side of the street above 3 storefronts. It was commissioned by the building owner whose father had owned a business (The Encore Restaurant & Lounge-- see matchbook cover in lower center of mural) on La Cienega for many years and she had seen the street change very much over the years and wanted to commemorate some of those vanished institutions. The small image next to the the bottom right image in the corner is of an amazing mural done by the LA Fine Arts Squad in the very early '70s on a nightclub on La Cienega.
