This mural honors the one hundred-year history of African American firefighters in Los Angeles's fire service. Welcoming the community with an image of two full uniform firefighters next to the entrance of the African American Firefighter Museum. The museums mission is to educate and promote equality for all ethnicities and genders. The AAFFM is located in Fire Station #30, one of two segregated fire stations in Los Angeles from 1924 to 1955.
