 Terry Schoonhoven originated from Illinois, and earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin. In 1969 he taught lithography at UC Los Angeles. He later helped found the Los Angeles Fine Arts Squad in 1969, and when it disbanded in 1974 he continued to make murals in Irvine Minneapolis, San Antonio, and St. Louis. (Source: Robin K.
