A native of Seoul, Korea, Park (born 1947) studied at the Seoul High School of Music and the Arts and at the College of Fine Arts at Hong-Ik University, where he received a degree in architecture. He came to Los Angeles in 1974 after doing combat service in Vietnam as a soldier in the Korean army. Since 1980 his work has been exhibited in several solo and group shows in Los Angeles, as well as in Paris, France, Mexico City, and Korea. In 1991 his first mural, of famous nature photographer Ansel Adams, was painted over for advertising. It was a recognized community landmark, created in 1984 in West Hollywood with a Korean artists' collective called Gallery Scope. He currently resides in Agoura Hills in Ventura County. (Robin K.
