Judithe’s career began in Los Angeles during the socially and politically turbulent 1960’s. She is regarded as a leading artist of the period and a founding member of the Chicano Art and Los Angeles Mural Movements. She is also the only female member of the influential East Los Angeles artist collective known as Los Four. After joining Los Four (1974), the group worked together for the next ten years creating public art and exhibiting as a collective.
